2019 Style Trends From the Runways to Walkways

Summer 2019 fashion colors are notable with pastels making a recurrence, along with rich, warm shades that actually feel a bit like Autumn is coming early with colors like Mango Mojito, Toffee, and some darker greens like Terrarium Moss and Pepper Stem.

According to https://glowsly.com/spring-summer-2019-color-trends/ the most definitive of the spring/ summer 2019 runway colors is yellow, of course, which showed up in the form of Aspen Gold, Pastel Yellow, Turmeric, and Lemon Verbena.

The other color families that stood out include various shades of pink, including Living Coral for 2019, which experts at the Pantone Color Institute named the color of the year, writing in a press release that the color “is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color.”

Speaking of shelter-what colors are trending in the home design space?

You may not be familiar with the paint company PPG, but it chooses a color of the year and the construction and consumer home improvement markets listen. Glidden, Olympic and Dulux are just a few of its consumer paint brands covering 70 countries.

PPG’s official Color of the Year for 2019 is Night Watch: a deep, rich green. PPG chose the hue by hosting an annual color workshop. PPG stated that the versatile color can be incorporated into interiors as a focal accent wall in a bedroom or dining room, and it pairs nicely with gold or brass accents and décor

This year, as part of their Colormix Color Forecast, Sherwin-Williams released 42 trend-forward shades that spanned six unique color palettes. Dusty pink shades showed up on three of them.

Timeless and subdued, Dusty Pink is a wonderful accent shade. Use it in an accent wall, a piece of occasional furniture or some throw pillows. You can bring out the color by pairing it with plenty of white, which will give your design a sense of contrast. This color can be found in the Jill Zarin Downtown Collection, adding the perfect touch of color for modern to artistically-inspired interiors.
